I was just researching cleaning machines and was pretty much sold on the rug doctor. But even if it is the best machine out there I will not buy one after reading this. Corporate america seems to be taking their lead from wallstreet believing that people will just look the other way. Well not me….rug doctor is not getting any of my business. And furthermore rug doctor should fire the guy who made this heartless decision….and fire him immediately.

I love Rog Doctor, I am not sure the details surrounding the man getting fired and rehired, but I do know that the news media tends to spin things the opposite to what the truth is. However I can tell you without a doubt I bought a Rug Doctor Machine 3 weeks after renting one. My carpets have never looked better. Without a doubt the Rug Doctor machine will make your carpet cleaner than any carpet cleaning company in the world. If you choose not to do business with Rug Doctor because of a news story aboutn a lady with cancer and a man getting fired that was probably a publicity firm stunt sponsored by Stanley Steamer of Chem-Dry then you are the one who suffers. Read beteen the lines the story is rarely what we get to hear.

Very sad story. Go to any Home Depot store that has a Tool Rental Center & rent the Carpet Express machine.

If the RugDoctor had a blog, I’d be there leaving nasty remarks in their comments section. SHAME on them for firing that poor man. And on the flip side, shame on them for having a crappy PR department.

You are absolutely correct. My opinion of this company, right now, is less than negative, based solely on the news article. If they had a blog, they might be able to convince me that they did the right thing. Right now, they look like schmucks and they smell like. . . . well, you know.
