Every journey begins with a single step and the road to Corporate Blogging should begin with the step of reading Debbie Weil’s book "The Corporate Blogging Book." I had a chance to read this book on a 2 hour flight from Denver to Reno on my way to speaking at a gathering of the Reno AMA Chapter. You heard correct, I was able to finish this book in that short time. Every business or corporation should have all of their marketing and corporate communications people read this informative book. I met Debbie Weil at a conference in Seattle called The Blog Business Summit. We met in the evening over dinner with a number of other attendees and we had a chance to chat about the book as she was collecting notes and research. Debbie is also a colleague and fellow blog contributor to Business Blog Consulting. You can definitely tell that Debbie is a class blogger because her writing style is just as she writes for blogs. The book is honest, passionate, informative, personal and warm with its approach to teaching corporate blogging. I didn’t expect anything else from her. She sits down with a cup of coffee and invites you to join her as she captivates you gently. She cares about the reader and does not write in a pedantic fashion like some experts, but knows her audience and leads them down the road by the hand. I intend to send all of my client’s this book as a gift and not because I’m acknowledged in the back, but for the pure joy of knowing that when they read it they will be well informed.
