Splogs, How do we kill them?

Blogs grow in number like a virus or like a something from a sci-fi movie.  How do they grow so fast and yet when I mention to Earl at the hardware store that he should be blogging about the latest in plumbing supplies, he asks “What is a Blog”?

I think that a new service should be started called Splog Killer or maybe Zombie Killer where a zombie blog is identified and subsequently zapped from the blogosphere!

I challenge Mark Cuban to head the Splog killing charge!

I haven’t come across a splog or spam blog. What exactly are they? What do they look like?

I couldn’t agree more. I even think you’ve stumbled upon a moneymaker here.

splogs are a natural reaction to advertisers figuring out that the machinery behind building and publishing blogs, creates great hits in a very short period of time. Bad news is, it is another display of programmers doing nothing creative, just for a couple of click throughs, instead of helping build something in the real world that would make life better all around. . . . sucks.
