I was pouring through my email inbox last night, and came across an email from a friend and fellow blogger, Jonathan at Digital Street Journal. His email was introducing me to another fellow blogger, marketer and now new friend David Berkowitz. David is a media blogger extraordinaire writing for the likes of MediaPost and his own blog Inside the Marketer’s Studio.
Jonathan had a chuckle about introducing a recognizable name of Jim Turner the professional football kicker with the infamous Son of Sam killer, David Berkowitz. It was a way of breaking the ice and makes for some interesting small talk. It wasn’t the names that brought us together in the end, it was our blogs. It seems that David and I had written similar posts about blogging and Jonathan thought it important for us to chat.
Blogging has been a great way to network and to gain friends, prospective customers, and other relationships that have proven to lead to more networks, more friends and a steady stream of clients. I was able to talk to David about my upcoming projects and a few of the things that we have going on here at One By One Media. I in turn found a person that works in my industry that I would probably never have met outside the blogosphere. Blogs can be great networking tools because they open up conversations between people.
It was very nice to meet you David and I can’t wait to meet you face to face. As long as you are not actually the killer in prison!
Sphere It

It will be great to meet you as well sometime, Jim. And if you’re the football or baseball player, all the better. This nature of the network is precisely why the blogosphere excites me so much.
A nice example of people connecting one by one.
Well done.
Hi, nice very nice page..!
Good luck !
