Clearly, lifecasting/livecasting is a hot craze. Jim and I see it as a powerful way to connect, teach, and make conferences richer experiences for everyone.
Jim already has a Logitech webcam (one of those round ones) I, however, do not. Okay I have a cam, but it doesn’t work with Vista so that’s pretty useless.
Not that watching me read feeds or blog is very interesting, I think I could do some fun interviews and stuff … maybe even livecast a Victoria blogger meet up I’m trying to get going.
So I need recommendations for a cam that I can use nicely with my laptop (a clip for the screen would be key) and works with Vista.
While I like Vista it is, however, pissing my off at the moment. Got a Bluetooth adapter for my MoGo Mouse, I can pair with my Berry no problem. Heck I can even sync wirelessly. Get my Logitech headset to pair? No chance. Why? Seems to be a Vista problem. Grrr.
Sorry for the rant. Okay, now in addition to the webcam, Jim and I want to look into getting a wireless card for conferences. We’ve both found that conference WiFi can be spotty at best. Recommendations? Carrier? EVDO (my preference)? 3G? EDGE? Just leave a comment below on the cam or wireless card.
And if you have some Vista Bluetooth tips, man I’d appreciate it.
