I recently read a post by Shel Israel at Naked Conversations about his thoughts on his new book co-authored by Robert Scoble, called ironically enough “Naked Conversations“. I applaud them on their new book, but the reason it really caught my attention was the blog post’s metaphorical feel to the birth of my children.
He describes how Robert looked at the book cover and gingerly held it as if a father seeing his newborn child for the first time. Pride overcoming them, and then a quiet moment later letting it all sink in like the 4 times my children were born. I loved that moment of realization that I had become a father. The description he gives is much like that feeling. I guess now I need to write a book to have that feeling once again.
